2011 Reading List

Stack books
Last year I set as one of my goals to stick to a reading list and to focus on reading one book at-a-time. I am happy to say that, although I didn't read all the books on my list, I actually read AND COMPLETED more books last year than I have in a long time! So, this year, I have no delusions that I will only stick to this list, or that I will complete it. But, I found it uber helpful to have a list to go back to when I was stumped as to what to read next.

So, here goes (you'll notice a few books I didn't get to from last year's list)...

The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan (in writing this list, I realized I had the author's name as "Paul Bunyan" on last year's list - LOL)

Thanks to all those who recommended many of these books! What are you reading in 2011?!

* edited to say this is a VERY ambitious reading list. It is more of a reference list than a goal, but I hope to read at least 20 of these books*

This looks like a good list, and plenty long. But, in case you're interested, the 3 best books I read last year were:
1) Salvation Belongs to Our God, by Christopher J.H. Wright
2) When Helping Hurts, by Steve Corbett & Brian Fikkert
3) Through His Eyes, by Jerram Barrs

Happy reading!

I love your post and I remember thinking the same thing about your list last year. Your list has given me ideas for what I want to read. Mark and I have both read The Heavenly Man - It's amazing. Thanks for some good book ideas! Miss you guys!

Finished The Pilgrim's Progess several weeks ago. Glad I read it. I'm sure you will too! Where are the biographies? It was you who challenged me to add diversity to my reading rotation. Just reserved a book at the library on William Howard Taft. Can't wait to begin.

Cool! Those look like some really good books. I wrote down "Simplicity Parenting". That looks like an especially good one!!!
